Job Description

Pontiac Family Eye Care is seeking a motivated and personable individual to join our team as an optometric technician. No prior optometry or medical experience is required — we're happy to provide all the training you need if you're the right fit!
Key Responsibilities:
Collecting patient history and entering into electronic medical record. Pretesting and special testing for a variety of ocular conditions.
Collected testing includes:
autorefraction, retinal photography, anterior segment photography, visual fields, dark adaptation, carotenoid scanning, and OCT (optical coherence tomography). Answering patient questions by phone and triaging what symptoms require same-day appointments. Coordinating referrals to other providers.
Qualifications:
Friendly, positive personality with a passion for providing exceptional patient care to all ages. Comfort with electronic medical records and data collection. Confidence in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. A team player who enjoys learning and growing in a healthcare setting. Full-Time Schedule (32 hour work week):
Mon:
8am•5pm
Tue:
8am•5pm
Wed:
9am•6pm
Fri:
