Job Description

About Us We are a patient-centered, three-doctor optometric practice serving our community through comprehensive eye care and a dedicated dry eye specialty clinic. Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional patient experiences, utilizing advanced technology, and helping patients achieve their best vision and ocular health. We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, learning new technology, and contributing to a collaborative healthcare environment. Responsibilities Welcome patients and prepare them for examinations. Obtain patient histories, including medical, ocular, and medication information. Perform preliminary testing Assist doctors with comprehensive eye examinations and contact lens evaluations. Support dry eye evaluations and treatments, including diagnostic testing and patient education. Accurately document findings and maintain electronic medical records. Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations. Assist with scheduling, recalls, and other administrative duties as needed. Maintain exam rooms and diagnostic equipment. Process patient paperwork, including insurance information and payment transactions. Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
Qualifications Preferred:
Experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or another healthcare setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records. Spanish language skills a plus
Required:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Schedule:
Monday to Friday 4 days or 4.5 days each week, depending on employee's preference No weekends
