Job Description
About us Wink Eye Care is one of Northwest Indiana's newest and highest rated Optometry Practices. We have locations in St. John and Lowell and are looking for another amazing individual to join our growing team. Our mission is to provide personalized eye care in state-of-the-art facilities. Patients love our service, attractive decor, medical technology and great frame selection. More importantly, they love how we treat every patient like a friend or family member. We are looking for a full-time optometric technician with at least 6 months of experience. Candidates must be willing to work at both locations.
Current hours:
Monday (9-6), Tuesday (9-6), Wednesday (9-5), Thursday (10-3), Friday (8-4). We are also open 1-2 Saturdays/month (8:30-12:30). Candidate must have a desire to learn, be a great teammate and have a passion for treating everyone like a friend or family member (mentioned again for emphasis :)). Employee must be willing to work 1 Saturday/month (8:30-12:30).Requirements:
- 6+months experience in the field.
- High School Diploma or GED. Some college or Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required.
- Willingness to travel between St. John and Lowell locations.
- Motivated to learn and grow.
- Understand and promote our mission.
- Pretest patients with our state-of-the art equipment.
- Teach patients how to insert and remove contact lenses.
- Be willing to help in numerous areas of the office (Answer phones, schedule appointments, record accurate patient information, adjust and repair eyeglasses, help select eyewear, assist with product ordering, tracking and communication with patients, etc.).
- Be willing to appear on our website and social media periodically.
- Provide 5-star customer service.
