Hunter Family Vision is a growing, privately owned optometry practice serving the Leawood, Prairie Village, and Louisburg communities. We are looking for a full-time Eye Care Technician to join our friendly, supportive team. No experience? No problem! We are happy to train the right person. If you have a positive attitude, love working with people, enjoy learning, and have a strong attention to detail, we'll teach you everything you need to know. At Hunter Family Vision, we believe our patients can tell when a team enjoys working together. What You'll Do As an Eye Care Technician, you'll work closely with our doctors to provide outstanding patient care. Every day is different, and you'll play an important role in helping patients feel comfortable while preparing them for their eye examination.
Responsibilities include:
Welcome patients and help create an outstanding experience from start to finish Perform preliminary testing before the doctor enters the exam room Interview patients regarding their medical history, vision concerns, and reason for their visit Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records Assist doctors in providing efficient, high-quality patient care Educate patients on treatment plans and doctor recommendations Teach patients how to insert and remove contact lenses Schedule referrals and follow-up appointments as needed Answer patient questions and assist with follow-up phone calls Help maintain contact lens inventory and supplies Assist with additional office responsibilities as needed What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Friendly, caring, and patient-focused Reliable and dependable A positive team player who enjoys helping others Organized with strong attention to detail Comfortable communicating with patients and coworkers Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Eager to learn and grow professionally Customer service experience is a plus, but no previous eye care experience is required.
