Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented full-time Optometry Medical Assistant to join our busy practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong foundation in patient care, knowledge of medical terminology, with a focus on providing exceptional support in a clinical setting. As an Optometry Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations, assisting with patient intake, scribing, and supporting our Optometrist in delivering high-quality eye care services. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn and have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Collect and record ophthalmic history. Perform testing with OCT and Visual Field. Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical equipment. Assist Optometrist during eye exams by handling equipment setup, calibration, and documentation of findings (scribing). Manage electronic health records (EHR), including updating patient charts and ensuring compliance with HIPAA privacy standards. Assist with minor procedures. Experience Past experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right person. Previous experience performing testing on an OCT and Visual Field are preferred. $16.00 per hour
