In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care within our Retina practice. Your expertise in medical terminology and patient interactions will contribute significantly to the overall efficiency of our practice. We are open to training candidates who demonstrate a genuine desire to learn and grow within the role. Responsibilities and duties Perform preliminary tests such as measuring visual acuity, taking vital signs, and conducting basic eye exams. Obtaining and documenting patient medical histories. Ability to navigate and document in an electronic medical record system Knowledge of medical terminology Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, management and peers Travel to satellite locations within the state of Kansas Skills Knowledge of ophthalmology practices and procedures. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to eye care. Experience in a medical office setting, preferably within an ophthalmology or similar specialty is preferred but would consider training the right candidate.
