Job Description

Under the guidance of the Provider or Manager, the Ophthalmology Tech will perform a variety of routine tests as well as documenting patient medical histories. May assist the Provider in minor surgical procedures. Must provide customer service in a friendly, courteous, professional manner. Exhibits the

WORKING CONDITIONS, HAZARDS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
Works in a well-lighted, ventilated and air conditioned area. Often exposed to unpleasant odors, sights and sounds. Long periods in a stationary position and moving around the unit are required. There are risks of exposure to disease and infection. The task of this job does not involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but employment may require performing supplemental tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Must be able to move or position 25 lbs. independently.
CONTACTS WITH OTHERS
Patients, family members and significant others, physicians and Associates, other health care providers, community personnel, administrative staff and Medical Center support services. Minimum of one (1) years' experience in an ophthalmology setting required.
