JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE
Assistant Director of Eye Care
LINE OF RESPONSIBILITY
The Assistant Director of Eye Care reports to the Director of Eye Care.
PURPOSE:
The Assistant Director of Eye Care will work closely with the Director of Eye Care and all other Department Heads, Eye Care Providers and Operations to improve and expand clinical operations throughout the practice. The Assistant Director will support the Director in all Eye Care Management activities, provide direct clinical care, ensure continuity of care, efficient referral management, and timely access to care.
RESPONSIBILITIES
: Provide leadership support to meet the goals of patient centered care along with efficient and cost-effective operations. Communicate effectively and respectfully with staff, patients, the public and external agencies in a culturally appropriate manner. Work collaboratively with Director of Eye Care and clinical operations management to optimize efficiency, access and financial stewardship. Optimize Eye Care services at all HCHC sites and lead technologic and remote care advances. Participate in long-range planning and development of organizational goals, strategic plans, and objectives. Engage in continuous process improvement activities. Provide support and give performance feedback to eye care providers. Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care services, including quality management and HIPAA compliance. Provide direct patient care in accordance with the optometrist job description. This includes all HCHC sites - some travel is required.
Requirements:
Must be an eye care provider licensed in the state of MA with at least 2 years experience. Strong professional and interpersonal skills Must have a strong commitment to community health and care of underserved populations Leadership experience preferred
