OPHTHALMIC
TECHNICIAN, Bowie, MD About the Role We are a busy Ophthalmology practice in Bowie, MD seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for working up patients prior to the Ophthalmologist's examination, playing a key part in delivering exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient workups prior to the physician's exam Conduct manual refractions and tonometry Obtain and document accurate patient histories and chief complaints Assist the Ophthalmologist with clinical procedures as needed Maintain accurate and thorough patient records Ensure a smooth, efficient, and welcoming patient experience Education, Skills & Experience Required High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician Proficiency in manual refractions and tonometry Specialized Ophthalmic Training preferred COT or COA certification a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Benefits Health insurance Generous paid time off (PTO) 401(k) retirement plan Opportunity for career advancement If you are a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician looking to grow your career in a supportive practice, we encourage you to apply today!
