Maryland Retina is looking to hire an experienced full-time Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing practice. This is a career opportunity to join a well-established specialty practice. Applicants are preferred to have at least 2 years of experience as an ophthalmic technician including experience with patient workups, optical coherence tomography, and retinal photography with fluorescein angiography experience preferred. Applicants with previous patient care experience outside of ophthalmology will be considered as well and can be trained on the job. You will be responsible for providing excellent care to our patients while performing patient work-ups, ophthalmic testing, and set-up of surgical procedures. You will support our clinic by monitoring clinical inventory, triaging calls, and documenting in the Electronic Medical Record. Commuting to our two offices in Sykesville and Glen Burnie is required, as is availability between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:15 pm Monday through Friday. Pay is negotiable based on experience. Position includes paid time off for major holidays, and health / dental / vision insurance is available.
