Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Optometric Technician/Receptionist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This energetic position combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support, offering a rewarding opportunity to work in a fast-paced ophthalmology or optometry setting. You will be the friendly face patients see first, guiding them through their visit, while also assisting with vital clinical tasks that support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and cared for from check-in to check-out. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records). Collect patient intake information, update medical records, and ensure HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality Measure vital signs including blood pressure Prepare patients for eye exams by performing preliminary tests, and visual acuity assessments Maintain accurate documentation of medical records, billing codes, and insurance information to facilitate smooth clinic operations and billing processes Qualifications Prior experience in medical office settings or ophthalmology/optometry clinics is highly preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and ophthalmic procedures Familiarity with EMR systems Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle front desk duties efficiently and professionally Basic knowledge of medical coding and billing processes is advantageous Demonstrating adaptability for diverse patient populations Join us in making a difference by providing compassionate care while supporting efficient clinic operations.
