Job Description

Holt Eye Care is seeking a motivated Optometric Technician to join our clinical team. At Holt Eye Care, we care for eyes and the people behind them. Responsibilities Perform pre-testing and diagnostic testing including visual acuity, autorefraction, tonometry (IOP), lensometry, pupil testing, motility, dilation, color vision, and stereo testing Assist with advanced diagnostic imaging including OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography), Optomap retinal imaging, visual fields testing, topography, pachymetry, and other ocular diagnostic testing Support providers with patient workups, charting, and clinical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) system Maintain efficient patient flow in a busy optometry clinic Ensure accurate, timely documentation of patient history, testing, and clinical data Support a smooth and professional patient experience from check-in through exam completion Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Experience in optometry, ophthalmology, eye care, or a healthcare clinical setting preferred but not required Familiarity with optometric technician duties, ophthalmic assisting, or medical assisting is a plus Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment Willingness to learn and grow within a healthcare career path Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health insurance and PTO eligibility after 90 days Bonus eligibility after 90 days based on role structure and performance metrics Paid training and ongoing professional development Growth opportunities within a growing optometry practice
