Essential functions The following list is a summary of the key functions of the job and may not be inclusive of all duties assigned . Gather and record patients' chief complaints while capturing a thorough ocular and medical history, ensuring a smooth start to their care journey. Guide patients through their tests, explaining the purpose of each procedure and what to expect, so they feel informed and at ease. Administer eye drops and medications as prescribed, playing a key role in preparing patients for their provider's care. Perform precise and consistent documentation of key measurements and tests using a variety of tools and machines, including Visual Acuity, ARK, Lensometry, Visual Fields, OCT, IOL Master/A-scan, and more. Support efficient patient flow, seeing patients promptly and stepping in to assist other clinic areas when needed, contributing to seamless operations. Maintain a clean and stocked clinic, ensuring every area is ready for patient care and up to the highest standards. Monitor and report equipment issues to the Clinical Manager, ensuring tools remain in top condition for optimal patient outcomes. Adapt to new technologies, taking on additional tasks specific to your provider's needs as advancements arise, making you a key player in innovative eye care. Core Competencies At L.O.
