Job Description

Duties:
```
  • Perform preliminary eye examinations and assessments, including taking patient histories and measuring visual acuity
  • Conduct diagnostic tests such as tonometry, visual field testing, and retinal imaging
  • Assist ophthalmologists in various procedures, including administering eye drops and medications
  • Prepare patients for surgery and provide post-operative care instructions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient
  • Clean and maintain ophthalmic equipment and instruments
  • Provide patient education on eye care.

Requirements:
```
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Will provide on the job training( certification required within 2 years)
  • Certification as an ophthalmic technician preferred
  • Experience working in a medical office or ophthalmology practice
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (Epic experience is a plus)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
