Job Description
```
Duties:
```- Perform preliminary eye examinations and assessments, including taking patient histories and measuring visual acuity
- Conduct diagnostic tests such as tonometry, visual field testing, and retinal imaging
- Assist ophthalmologists in various procedures, including administering eye drops and medications
- Prepare patients for surgery and provide post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient
- Clean and maintain ophthalmic equipment and instruments
- Provide patient education on eye care.
Requirements:
```- High school diploma or equivalent
- Will provide on the job training( certification required within 2 years)
- Certification as an ophthalmic technician preferred
- Experience working in a medical office or ophthalmology practice
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (Epic experience is a plus)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
