The Ophthalmic Scribe will play a crucial role in assisting our ophthalmologists by accurately documenting patient encounters, transcribing medical information, and ensuring that all necessary records are maintained efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment. Position is Monday - Thursday, 7am - 5pm. No Fridays. No weekends. Duties Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions during examinations and consultations. Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) with precise documentation of patient history, examination findings, and treatment plans. Assist in the management of medical documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to streamline patient care processes. Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate findings and observations clearly. Support the ophthalmology team by preparing necessary materials for patient visits and follow-ups. Stay informed about the latest developments in ophthalmology to enhance documentation accuracy. Proficiency in typing and transcribing medical notes with high accuracy. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology and general healthcare. Familiarity with
NEXTECH INTELLECHART PRO EMR
preferred. Background experience in a medical office setting or emergency room is preferred. Understanding of medical records management and documentation practices. Solid knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to eye care. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective interaction with patients and healthcare providers. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Your contributions will directly impact patient care and enhance the efficiency of our practice.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
