OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN
Michigan Location:
Fraser, Port Huron, Rochester Hills, Royal Oak, and Warren Position Summary Fraser Eye Care Center is seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care by conducting various ophthalmic diagnostic tests ordered by the physician and manage patient data using our electronic medical record system. Responsibilities Obtain patient's chief complaint, present illness, and medical history. Perform vision acuity and refractions. Conduct ophthalmic diagnostic tests such as visual fields, OCT, Pentacam, IOL Master, iTrace, Optos fundus, and angiography, as ordered by the physician. Manage patient data efficiently using the electronic medical record system. Provide excellent customer service to patients. Work collaboratively within a team environment. Multi-task and thrive in a busy, fast-paced setting. Qualifications High school graduate or GED. Certification in COA or COT preferred. Proficient with computers and electronic medical records (EMR). Ability to perform diagnostic testing. Previous customer service experience. Effective communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Availability to work at multiple Fraser Eye Care Center office locations.
