Restoration Eye Care is a patient-centered ophthalmology practice committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive eye care. Our team is dedicated to excellence in both patient outcomes and clinical support.Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician/Receptionist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of scribing/tech experience in an ophthalmology setting and be proficient with Modernizing Medicine (EMA) . You will work closely with our ophthalmologist, documenting patient encounters in real-time to ensure efficient and accurate clinical care.Responsibilities:
Accurately document physician-patient encounters in EMA (Modernizing Medicine) during exams, procedures, and follow-up visits. Prepare charts and update patient records with medical histories, medications, and diagnostic information Assist in coordinating patient care by ensuring documentation is complete, timely, and accurate Maintain a smooth clinical workflow by anticipating the physician's needs Communicate professionally with patients, staff, and physiciansQualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician Scribe experience preferred. Comfort with discussing the benefits and disadvantages of various advanced technology IOLs. Previous experience working in an ophthalmology or eye care setting is required Proficiency with Modernizing Medicine (EMA) is preferred Strong knowledge of ophthalmic terminology, clinical procedures, and documentation standards. Have 2-3 Years of experience in scheduling, payment collections, and a working knowledge of insurance plans. Excellent attention to detail, multitasking skills, and professionalism in patient care settings. COMT or COA certification preferred, but not required.What We Offer:
