Job Description
McCannel Eye Clinic, founded by Dr. Malcolm McCannel in 1949, has an immediate opening for a full-time ophthalmic technician in Edina, MN. The candidate we are looking for should have at least 6 months of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or be a recent graduate of an Ophthalmic Technology program. Excellent retinoscopy / manual refractometry skills required. Current COT or COMT certification preferred, but not required. Contact lens experience preferred. Duties include patient histories, workups, and comprehensive diagnostic testing including: manual refractometry/retinoscopy, tonometry, pachymetry, keratometry, visual fields, OCT, corneal topography, photography, A-scan, BAT, biomicroscopy, microscopy, and other tests as needed. We offer competitive wages, benefits, and a Monday through Friday 40-hour work week.
