  • $35 per hour (based on experience) About the Role We are looking for a Contact Lens Technician to join our team.
In this role, you'll provide contact lens services including fitting, patient education, and support. If you're detail-oriented, customer-focused, and ready to grow your career in a clinical setting, we'd love to hear from you! Responsibilities Contact Lens Fitting & Patient Care Perform initial contact lens consultations and fittings Measure eye dimensions (pupil size, corneal curvature, etc.) Educate patients on insertion, removal, and care of lenses Conduct follow-up visits to ensure proper fit and comfort Maintain accurate patient records Order Management & Inventory Process lens orders and work with optical labs/manufacturers Maintain inventory of contact lenses and supplies Manage stock rotation, returns, and expiration tracking Administrative & Clinical Support Use slit lamps, keratometers, and other ophthalmic tools Handle insurance billing and payment processing Schedule appointments and update electronic medical records Answer patient calls and coordinate care with providers Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile workspace
Requirements Required:
High school diploma or GED Strong customer service and communication skills Attention to detail and manual dexterity Basic computer proficiency Ability to work in a team and fast-paced environment Willingness to complete on-the-job training Familiarity with
EMR Charting Preferred:
1-3 years' experience in an optical, optometry, or ophthalmology setting Associate's degree in a health-related field NCLE Certification or willingness to obtain (company will assist) Experience with optical or medical software systems Physical Requirements Able to stand, sit, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. Fine motor skills and corrected vision to 20/25 Ability to work in close proximity with patients Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license Benefits Health and dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off and holidays Continuing education support Uniform allowance
