Optometric Technician / Private Practice Eye Clinic / M-F / No Weekends!

Optometric Technician Needed! Competitive base pay with benefits! Blue Lakes Eye Care is a new, high-end private optometry practice, located in a growing area of Eagan, Minnesota. Our mission is to build a culture of integrity, compassion and excellence. Our goal is to create a practice where patients and team members feel like they are part of a family. Our technician will need to direct patient flow and coordinate patient care within our practice. They will need to deliver exceptional care and outstanding service. This person will be responsible for answering phones and helping schedule patients. Computer skills are a must. They will pre-test patients before eye exams, perform specialty testing and assist with examinations and procedures. They will help with other activities that arise on a day-to-day basis. We are looking for a candidate excited about this field, with exceptional communication skills, the ability to multi-task and most importantly, a passion to be a part of something special as we grow our optometric practice.

Candidate requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent Great interpersonal and customer service skills The availability to work 24-40 hours including some evenings The passion to provide exceptional care and outstanding service The desire to assist in other tasks that aid in office efficiency and growth of the practice

Job Responsibilities:

Help direct patient flow and coordinate patient care within our practice Check visual acuities and pre-test patients before eye examinations Assist with examinations and procedures Perform specialty testing: Optos Imaging, Visual Field, OCT Maintain patient records Instruct patients on insertion and removal of contact lenses Order contact lenses, check-in and dispense contact lenses Answer phones to schedule patients and answer general questions Verify insurances and interpret benefits from a large variety of medical and vision plans Willingness and flexibility to learn and adapt in a variety of situations Desire and investment in the practice to help with promotion and growth Compensation depends on experience and skill level.
