  • Full-time Job Overview Join our dynamic ophthalmology team as an Ophthalmic Test Tech, where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and vision health.
In this vital role, you will perform comprehensive vision tests, gather accurate patient information, and assist ophthalmologists in delivering exceptional eye care. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure smooth clinic operations, improve patient experiences, and support diagnostic accuracy. Duties Conduct a variety of ophthalmic tests including OCT, TOPO, ultra wide photos and visual fields with precision and care. Maintain strict aseptic technique during all procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety. Assist patients with understanding test procedures and provide excellent patient care throughout their visit. Operate electronic health record (EHR) systems to accurately record test results and update medical records. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and staff to ensure seamless clinic operations and high-quality patient service Strong knowledge of ophthalmology principles, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to eye health.
SKILLS:
Experience with optical testing equipment and understanding of optical principles for accurate assessments. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. Prior medical office experience with proficiency in EMR systems. Excellent communication skills for effective intake interviews and patient education. Ability to perform clinical tasks with precision while maintaining aseptic techniques in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics is preferred for providing compassionate care across age groups.
