Job Description

Overview Mobile Optometry Opportunity | Mid-Missouri Join a mission-driven healthcare organization that is launching a brand-new mobile vision program designed to expand access to quality eye care throughout Mid-Missouri. This is an excellent opportunity for an Optometrist who enjoys autonomy, flexibility, and making a meaningful impact in underserved communities. Position Highlights New mobile optometry program focused on increasing access to vision care Primarily serves Medicaid and underserved patient populations Mobile unit will generally remain at a single clinic location each week rather than traveling between multiple sites daily Home base in the Rolla area with clinic locations typically 20-30 minutes away Travel time is compensated Flexible scheduling options: 5-day work week (8-hour days), or 4-day work week (10-hour days) No surgical responsibilities; Strong support team including: Optician, Patient Service Representative, Dedicated driver On-site lab support at clinic location Practice Details Provide comprehensive routine eye care services for patients of all ages Mix of scheduled and walk-in appointments Initial patient volumes will ramp up as the new program grows Long-term projected volume of approximately 20 patients per day Opportunity to help build and shape a new service line from the ground up Qualifications Proven experience in ophthalmology or optical practice, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology related to eye health. Has a passion for serving underserved and Medicaid populations Is adaptable and excited about helping launch a new program Values work-life balance and community-focused care Enjoys practicing with a high degree of autonomy
Pay:
$180,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
