Job Description
Ophthalmic Technician Southern Vision Center is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician. Experience preferred but we train excellent candidates. Ideal candidates work effectively as part of a team, enjoy working with seniors, have a high level of energy, are familiar and comfortable with laptop and desktop computers and iPads, communicate well, are mature and stable, and have a desire to help others. Must be polite, kind, have excellent attention to detail, have reliable transportation, be well spoken, and be a good listener. Job duties will include, but are not limited to: Obtaining a detailed patient medical history in an electronic medical record. Checking visual acuity Measuring eye pressure Placing dilation eye drops Assisting our Physician with various facets of the examination Perform special testing such as visual field examinations High school diploma required. Some college preferred. Previous medical office experience a plus. This is a full-time position that offers competitive pay and a highly competitive benefits package.
