Elkhorn Vision Center is seeking a dedicated Optical Assistant to join our team. As an Optical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support in our small and friendly eye care center. You will assist customers in selecting stylish frames, work with our front desk and assist customer's with repairs to glasses.

Duties:

• Assist customers in choosing frames that suit their style and vision need
• Assist the Front Desk with patient check-in, insurance verification, compiling patient records as needed.
• Support the office manager with various clinic duties
• Engage in sales activities related to optical products
• Handle medical coding and billing tasks accurately
• Maintain inventory of optical products and supplies
• Ensure a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

• Optical experience 1-2 years
• Prior experience in retail management or sales is preferred
• Knowledge of optical procedures and equipment is a plus
• Familiarity with medical coding and billing practices
• Understanding of anatomy and physiology related to eye care
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and work autonomously
