Responsibilities Optometric Technician Job Responsibilities Welcomes patients professionally and courteously, assisting in their preparation for eye examinations. Assists optometrist with tests and procedures, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment. Attends to patient needs and inquiries with patience and courtesy. Manages patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Conducts appointment scheduling and maintains the point of sale system accurately. Ensures a safe and organized working environment. Provides guidance to patients on contact lens care. Maintains equipment and inventory as needed. Skills & Qualifications Optometric Technician Job Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. Minimum of one year of strong customer service skills. Leadership skills. Strong communicator and listener. Problem-solving ability. Organization skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to assess priorities, address multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work autonomously. Knowledge of office environment. Strong basic math skills.
