This position combines clinical support, patient interaction, and administrative duties to ensure smooth clinic operations. You will assist with patient intake, operate optical equipment, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Duties Greet patients warmly and facilitate their check-in process using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Collect comprehensive patient histories and perform intake assessments to prepare for examinations Use appropriate medical equipment like tonometers and A-scan devices Assist optometrists during eye examinations Conduct preliminary tests including visual acuity assessments, refraction procedures, and intraocular pressure measurements Manage medical records with accuracy while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Verify and files claims to vision plans like EyeMed, VSP, Community Eyecare, and Superior Vision. Support retail sales of eyewear products by providing knowledgeable assistance on frames, lenses, and accessories while applying retail math principles Qualifications Prior experience in medical office settings or optometric clinic environments is highly preferred Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and optometric procedures Proficiency in operating medical equipment such as tonometers, A-scans, and other diagnostic tools Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Compulink or similar platforms for managing patient records effectively Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times Excellent communication skills for direct patient care and front desk interactions Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Embark on a rewarding journey where your skills make a real difference in patients' lives!
