Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in patient care, bonus if it's in the field of optometry but easily trainable. This role is essential for providing high-quality support to medical professionals and ensuring the well-being of patients between two optical settings. Duties Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care by performing clinical tasks. Pre-test and prepare patients for the doctor's exam. Verify any vision or medical insurance. Learn to file and bill both vision and medical insurance. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Enjoy your position and daily tasks which we call work! Work with Optical staff and doctors to ensure comprehensive patient care. Keep medical equipment and work areas clean and organized. Qualifications Previous experience in patient care or customer service. Ability to greet, smile and make patients feel comfortable. Ability to lift patients safely and effectively while adhering to safety protocols. Experience working with children in a healthcare environment is a plus. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Great communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Any extra certification or training relevant to clinical technician roles is advantageous but absolutely not necessary. We can train and offer more certifications when ready!
