Job Description

Overview:
Atlantic Eye is a comprehensive Ophthalmology practice. Our work environment is built upon a culture of ambition, respect, excellence, and teamwork. We are seeking a dedicated Full-time Ophthalmic Diagnostic Technician that is detailed oriented and customer focused to join our dynamic team. As a valued member of our practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient care and smooth clinic operations. Travel between our four Monmouth County locations is required.
Responsibilities:
Extend a warm and courteous welcome to patients, ensuring they feel valued and cared for from the moment they enter the clinic. Promptly attend to their needs with a helpful demeanor, setting a positive tone for their visit. Manage the flow of patients in waiting areas and exam rooms, proactively identifying and addressing any delays to minimize wait times. Accompany patients to exam rooms with care and consideration. Provide assistance to physicians during patient exams. Perform advanced diagnostic testing, including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Visual Field testing, Fundus Photography, and Corneal Topography, with precision and accuracy. Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) documentation of patient appointments.
Qualifications:
Demonstrates strong proficiency with digital tools, software, and technology systems relevant to the role. Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Exhibit reliability, responsibility, and a strong work ethic in fulfilling job duties and meeting performance expectations. Possess a keen eye for detail and a meticulous approach to tasks. Shows empathy, compassion, and sensitivity in interactions with patients. Possess strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
Education Requirement:
High school diploma or GED.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM Flexibility is key, with occasional availability required on weekends and evenings.
