Job Description

Job Summary Join our healthcare team as an Optometric Technician/Medical Assistant, where your enthusiasm will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will assist the optometrists by preparing patients for exams, performing preliminary testing, and managing medical records with precision. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to combine clinical skills with exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, perform intake procedures, and accurately document medical histories and reason for visit Perform ophthalmic pretesting procedures including visual acuity tests, auto-refractor measurements, visual field testing and OCTs Maintain aseptic technique during examinations and ensure all equipment is properly sanitized in compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage electronic medical records (EMR) systems to update patient information efficiently Support front desk duties by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and handling patient check-in/check-out processes Assist in inventory management of optical supplies and medical equipment to ensure readiness for daily operations Skills Experience in patient care or medical office setting preferred but not required Excellent communication skills for friendly patient interactions and teamwork within a clinical environment. Basic retail sales skills combined with retail math to assist patients with eyewear selections when needed This role is ideal for motivated individuals with good people skills who are eager to deliver exceptional patient experiences.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
