Full Job Description Overview:

We are seeking a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) to join our ophthalmology team. The ideal candidate will assist providers with patient care, diagnostic testing, and ophthalmic procedures. The candidate will be responsible for performing ophthalmic testing, documenting patient information, preparing patients for examinations, and supporting the delivery of quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

Perform visual acuity testing, tonometry, OCT, fundus photography, and visual field testing Obtain and document patient history, medications, and allergies Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Assist ophthalmologists during patient visits Educate patients and maintain accurate documentation Perform basic ophthalmic measurements and diagnostic testing Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies

Requirements:

Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) required Minimum 1 year of ophthalmology experience BLS certification required Experience with ophthalmic diagnostic equipment preferred Experience with EMR documentation Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team

Pay:

$32.00 - $37.00 per hour
