NEVADA RETINA CENTER IS SEEKING A
full time ophthalmic technician for our busy Ophthalmology practice with 2 locations. Travel is required. We are looking for reliable team players who pay attention to detail and practice good grammar. Position includes but is not limited to the following:
OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN DUTIES MUST
be able to perform specialized eye testing such as OCT, Fluorescein Angiograph, Fundus Photos and ability to preform Venipuncture. Help open clinic for the day by setting up equipment, checking inventory, prepping doctor's rooms, turning on the computers, etc. Obtain pertinent medical history and accurately input data into the EHR system Check intraocular pressure (IOP) and testing for visual acuity Prep charts Restock supplies after each clinic day in the work-up rooms and doctor's rooms Maintain inventory of the different sites and inform back-office manager of general supplies (gloves, drops, tissues, gauges, lidocaine, etc.) so that they can be ordered in a timely fashion Package and sterilize medical equipment (speculums, calipers, tweezers, etc.) in the autoclave Help maintain flow of clinic by loading patients into doctor's rooms and setting up the patient's information on the computer Handle incoming calls and phone messages from patients while including proper documentation in the EHR General cleanliness/tidiness of space to be maintained Have knowledge of MIPS and how to fulfill the requirements in real time
