Ophthalmic Technician

Ophthalmic Technician Full time Ophthalmic technician for a well-established Optometry practice. Experience in health care is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preliminary patient screenings and assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical history
• Assist optometrist in various procedures and examinations, such as measuring visual acuity, tonometry, and administering eye drops
• Conduct diagnostic tests, such as visual field testing, OCT scans, and corneal topography
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment
• Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and handling billing inquiries

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician or in a related field preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
