Optometric Assistant

Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Support Greet patients warmly and assist with intake, medical histories, and record updates Prepare patients for eye exams with preliminary testing and assessments Maintain aseptic technique to ensure a safe, clean clinical environment Assist optometrists with clinical tasks, including diagnostic testing and administering drops Protect patient confidentiality by following HIPAA protocols Front Desk & Administrative Support Help manage patient flow in a busy office while staying friendly and calm Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and handle phone or in-office inquiries Use EMR systems to document visits and maintain accurate records Complete administrative tasks as needed to support the team Optical Retail & Customer Service Assist patients in selecting eyewear and conduct retail sales Use basic retail math for transactions and inventory Provide the same friendly, helpful service to patients and team members alike What We're Looking For No experience needed — we will train the right candidate!
