Job Description

Ophthalmic Technician - Full-Time A busy ophthalmology practice is seeking a dependable and motivated full-time Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced professional environment and possesses strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Measuring visual acuity Obtaining ocular and medical histories Performing tonometry Conducting IOL measurements Performing special diagnostic testing Assisting physicians with patient care as needed Scheduling appointments Registering patients and verifying demographic information Handling incoming patient calls Taking and relaying messages to physicians Working closely with office staff to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent customer service Maintaining accurate patient records within the electronic medical record system
Qualifications:
Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinical setting Computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical records preferred Attention to detail and professionalism Previous ophthalmic experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate
Schedule:

Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
