Job Description

Observes and assists in conducting imaging tests such as OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) and visual field testing. + Under the guidance and supervision of a certified technician, handles and maintains ophthalmic equipment and instruments properly. Educates patients about procedures, instructions for eye care, and follow-up appointments.
Sterilizes and cleans equipment and exam rooms according to established procedures. + Maintains accurate patient records and ensures proper documentation of services. Adheres to infection control and safety protocols.
Attends training sessions and workshops to improve skills and knowledge in ophthalmology. + Performs clinical-clerical office duties, including scheduling, completing request forms, printing results, ordering contact lenses, and related administrative activities. Stocks rooms according to practice needs + Other duties as assigned.

Compensation Range:
$18.00 - $23.81 _The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._Responsibilities:
- Works under the supervision of experienced ophthalmic professionals to learn the essential skills and techniques used to diagnose and treat eye conditions.
Essential Functions:

Minimum Education & Experience:
- + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Previous healthcare or clinical experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- + Strong interest in the field of ophthalmology and eye care preferred.
