In this vital role, you will be the friendly face welcoming patients, managing appointments, and assisting with clinical procedures. Your expertise in patient care, medical records, and optical systems will ensure a smooth, efficient experience for every individual who walks through our doors. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to combine clinical support with front desk responsibilities in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival and efficiently manage check-in and check-out processes using electronic medical record (EMR) systems Collect comprehensive patient intake information, including medical history, current symptoms, and insurance details Assist with ophthalmic examinations by performing preliminary tests, including visual field assessments, OCT scans, Tonometry, IOP, Retinal photos plus more Assist with IPL an RF in our Dry Eye Spa Teach patients how to Insert & Remove Contact lenses Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with privacy standards Prepare exam rooms using aseptic techniques to uphold infection control protocols during clinical procedures Coordinate with the clinical team to facilitate smooth clinic operations and ensure timely patient flow Handle front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone inquiries, and managing patient communications Qualifications Prior experience in a medical office setting or ophthalmology clinic is highly preferred; familiarity with EMR systems like Officemate is a plus Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy related to the eye, physiology principles, and ophthalmology procedures Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional patient care with empathy and professionalism Basic understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices in healthcare environments Excellent organizational skills for managing medical records, billing processes, and appointment scheduling Knowledge of pediatric care is beneficial for supporting diverse patient populations Join us in delivering outstanding eye care while fostering a welcoming environment that values both technical expertise and compassionate service.
