The optometric technician/receptionist will be responsible for pre-charting, patient work ups, chart documentation, answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance data as well as posting fees and recieving payments. Performing screening tests and operating other computer equipment such as autorefractometer/corneal topographer, Haag Streit visual fields, retinal photography, and Zeiss OCT laser scans. Prior optometry/ophthalmology experience and EHR familiarity preferred. Health and dental insurance with HSA (Health Savings Account) available. This position is primarily in our Syracuse office, but coverage in our Manlius office may be occasionally required. Parking pass included We are searching for a consciencious and attentive individual with strong patient skills, a positive attitude, a great work ethic and lots of energy are required.
