Job Description

Small, private, Optometry Practice seeking an outgoing individual to greet patients, answer phones, check patients in and out of the office, assist our doctors with patient care and step in to the optical dispensary as needed. We are looking for someone with a positive outlook who enjoys interacting with the public in a professional setting. Our organization prides itself on customer service and compassionate care. The ideal candidate will have the ability to engage with patients in a friendly manner while maintaining a timely schedule. We offer a supportive work environment as we feel strongly that high morale is key to success for all. We are searching for an individual that works harmoniously in a small team environment and is willing to contribute to shared goals. Prior optometric experience preferred, but we are open to training any candidate that has the right personality and exhibits the described skill set. Office hours are Monday (9-6pm), Wednesday (9-5pm), Thursday (9-5 pm) and Friday (9-5pm), averaging 35 hours per week. Applications including a cover letter are preferred.
Job Responsibilities include:
Pretesting patients and taking health history Prepare and sterilize patient care areas and equipment Utilizing retinal imaging equipment and performing tonometry Confidently navigating electronic health records Ordering/maintaining contact lens inventory Assisting patients with contact lens education classes Assisting in optical as needed Respecting patients' privacy
