Job Description

```Overview``` We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team. As an Optometric Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our optometrists in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. If you have a passion for healthcare and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. ```Responsibilities```
  • Perform preliminary tests and measurements on patients, including visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and eye pressure
  • Assist with diagnostic testing, such as visual field testing and retinal imaging
  • Prepare patients for examinations by gathering medical history and documenting chief complaints
  • Administer eye drops or medications as directed by the optometrist
  • Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow in the office
  • Assist with front desk duties, including answering phone calls, verifying insurance information, and collecting payments
  • Order and maintain inventory of optical supplies ```Skills```
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as Revolution, to document patient information
  • Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
  • Familiarity with optical equipment and instruments
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in recording patient information
