We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking professional who enjoys working closely with patients and physicians and is interested in building a long-term career with our team. We are open to either Part-Time (approximately 20 hours, 3 days/week) or Full-Time, depending on experience and skill set , with opportunities for expanded responsibilities and long-term growth within the practice. Role Overview This position combines retina technician and medical scribe responsibilities, with the potential to grow into a broader clinical and administrative role for candidates with additional skills.

Experienced part-time candidates seeking a stable, consistent schedule Full-time candidates who can contribute across clinical and administrative functions This position is ideal for an experienced ophthalmic technician who: Has 3+ years of Ophthalmology experience (Retina strongly preferred) Is dependable, punctual, and consistent Is friendly, professional, and patient-focused Works well in a fast-paced clinical environment Values working closely with a small, collaborative team Interested in a long-term role with growth potential Core Responsibilities Real-time medical scribing during patient encounters Assisting physicians with documentation of exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans Performing ophthalmic diagnostic testing (OCT, imaging, etc.) Assisting with patient flow and clinic efficiency Preparing charts and reviewing records prior to visits Supporting intravitreal injection visits and retina procedures Communicating professionally with patients and staff Supporting general clinical operations as needed Additional Responsibilities (Optional Growth Areas) Additional hours and expanded responsibilities may be available for candidates with experience in: Prior authorizations (especially anti-VEGF therapies) Insurance verification and benefits coordination Medical billing, coding, or denial management Accounts receivable or revenue cycle support Medication assistance programs (copay support, foundation programs) Inventory and supply management Referring physician outreach Marketing, SEO, or patient engagement EMR optimization or workflow improvement Other skills that contribute to the growth and success of the practice Qualifications Minimum 3+ years ophthalmology experience required Retina experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and retinal disease Comfortable with OCT, imaging, and retina workflow Strong EMR and computer skills Excellent communication and attention to detail Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy Schedule & Compensation Part-time clinical role (approximately 20 hours/week), consistent 3-day weekly schedule Full-Time option for the right candidate based on additional skill set Competitive pay based on experience Why Join Main Line Retina?
