Optometric Technician Location:

Malvern, PA We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused Optometric Technician with Optician experience to join our growing practice. In this unique role, you will work closely with our Optometrist to provide vision rehabilitation therapy for patients recovering from concussions, strokes, and traumatic brain injuries who experience visual impairments. In addition to vision therapy responsibilities, you will assist patients with eyewear selection and fittings, perform adjustments and repairs, coordinate optical orders through vision insurance plans, and support front-office operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, is eager to learn, and thrives in a supportive clinical environment. Key ResponsibilitiesVision Rehabilitation Therapy Provide vision rehabilitation therapy under the direction of the Optometrist Guide patients through therapy sessions utilizing: 3D vision programs Touchscreen-based therapy software Free-space visual skills activities Escort patients to and from therapy areas as needed Monitor patient progress and communicate outcomes to the doctor Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Optical / Optician Duties Assist patients with frame selection and lens options Perform optical measurements for proper eyewear fitting Adjust, repair, and troubleshoot eyewear Work with vision insurance plans to determine benefits and pricing Process and submit optical orders Front Office Support Check patients in and out Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries Schedule appointments Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Order contact lenses Provide general administrative and receptionist support Cross-train to assist in all areas of the practice as needed Qualifications Previous Optician experience required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, compassionate, and patient-centered approach Demonstrates empathy, patience, and professionalism Ability to work independently and as part of a team Eagerness to learn and take direction Comfortable using computers and technology-based programs Previous medical office, ophthalmic, optometric, or therapy experience preferred Willing to train the right candidate What We Offer Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in patients' recovery and quality of life Supportive and collaborative work environment Comprehensive training in vision rehabilitation therapy Diverse role with both clinical and optical responsibilities Professional growth opportunities within a growing practice Work Location Primarily based in
