Wage:
Starting at $16.00/hour
Responsibilities Include:
Greeting patients and ensuring a positive first impression Scanning IDs and insurance cards Pretesting patients and collecting a medical history Answering phones and scheduling appointments Collecting and verifying vision and medical insurance information Optician duties including selling and measuring eyewear Selling contact lenses Frame adjustments Data entry (assisting with charting, invoicing, and records) Contacting patients regarding orders, appointments, and reminders Maintaining a clean and organized office environment
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in an optometry or ophthalmology office required Excellent computer and typing skills Experience with electronic health record systems Strong communication and organizational skills Friendly, professional demeanor and a team-first attitude Employee Benefits (Full Time Employees): Paid holidays Complimentary vision care Allowance toward glasses and contact lenses 2 weeks of paid time off after 1 year of employment 3 weeks of paid time off after 3 years of employment
