Job Description
About us Sight Eyecare is a fast growing optometric office! We are looking to add to our team an individual who is great at communication, organization, and overall team player! We are looking for someone with prior optometric experience or medical office experience. This job would require working directly with patients, performing testing, and proficiency in electronic health records!
Our work environment includes:
Modern office setting Monday-Thursday, no weekends! On-the-job training ```Duties:
```- Assist optometrist with patient care and examinations
- Perform preliminary tests and gather patient history
- Conduct visual acuity and color vision tests
- Administer eye drops and other medications as directed
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and treatments
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Clean and maintain equipment and examination rooms
- Provide support to front desk staff as needed ```
Qualifications:
```- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and optometry
- Familiarity with medical office systems and procedures
- Experience in taking vital signs and performing basic medical procedures
- Understanding of aseptic technique and infection control measures
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Proficiency in medical billing and insurance verification is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
