Travels to Satellite locations Prepare examination and treatment rooms Maintains a clean working environment, stocked rooms, equipment, and EOC guidelines General clinic support functions Must have the ability to perform well in a fast-paced, high-volume practice. Continuous learning to advance to assist physicians and ability to scribe The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position, and additional duties may be assigned Education, Training, and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent COA or higher is preferred 1-2 years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician Demonstrates working knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, symptoms, and ocular medications Cooperates with supervisory staff, physicians, peers, external customers, and patients in a positive, energetic, and professional manner Effective verbal and written communication skills with patients, physicians, management, and employees Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel Outlook) along with the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software. Proficient in understanding reading and interpreting all contents of the paper and electronic medical charts (ERM) Meticulous attention to detail is required. Demonstrates high-level critical thinking skills Ability to be proactive, take initiative, and perform well in a fast-paced high-volume practice. Confidentiality Maintains strict confidentiality regarding protected health information (PHI) and understands and adheres to TNR's HIPAA privacy and security policies and procedures. Typical Physical and Working Demands Position requires prolonged walking, sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Employees must have a standard range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
