Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking detail-oriented candidates to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting ophthalmologists by accurately documenting patient encounters and maintaining comprehensive medical records. The Ophthalmic Scribe will ensure that all patient information is recorded efficiently and accurately, allowing our healthcare providers to focus on delivering high-quality care. Responsibilities Accurately document examination findings, and treatment plans during ophthalmology consultations. Collaborate with ophthalmologists to ensure all relevant information is captured during patient visits. Coordinate and complete insurance prior authorizations and pre-certifications for procedures, tests, and medications. Check and manage incoming voicemail messages, ensuring appropriate follow-up. Process prescription refill requests, including preparation and submission to pharmacies per provider approval. Requirements Prior experience is preferred, but not required. Attention to detail and organizational skills are critical to success in this position. Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients alike.
