  • Full-time Optometric Technician / Assistant
  • Private Optometry Practice (Northwest Hills) Full-time | No weekends | Friendly, family-oriented team We are seeking a mature, professional, and reliable Optometric Technician to join our established private practice located in Northwest Hills (central Austin).
The right candidate will be punctual, courteous, patient, and take pride in maintaining a polished and professional appearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preliminary testing including Auto-Refraction (A/R), Non-Contact Tonometry (NCT), and Optomap imaging Efficiency with CrystalPM EMR Software ( Preferred, but not mandatory) Conduct Contact Lens Insertion & Removal (I&R) training (soft and RGP lenses) Handle visual field testing, corneal topography, and OCT scans Assist with contact lens ordering, dispensing, and patient follow-up Perform general clerical duties including: Patient billing and payment processing Records maintenance and filing Answering phones and addressing patient questions regarding products and orders Notifying patients when contact lenses are ready for pickup Other duties as assigned by the doctor
Qualifications:
Previous technician experience preferred ; willing to train the right candidate Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment Comfortable multitasking while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Must be able to work with people of all ages , including children and elderly patients Demonstrated teamwork and the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure

Established, non-smoking private practice with four doctors Serving the Austin community for over 25 years Specializing in low vision services in a supportive, patient-centered environment

Monday & Wednesday:
9am
  • 5pm
Tuesday & Thursday:
8am
  • 6pm
Friday:
9am
