Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Optometric Technician, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will assist the optometrists by preparing patients for examinations, gathering essential health information, and supporting the delivery of comprehensive eye care. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure a smooth patient experience while maintaining the highest standards of safety and confidentiality. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in optometry, medical records management, and patient interaction within a fast-paced, supportive environment. Responsibilities Welcome patients upon arrival, verify their information, and assist with the intake process to ensure accurate medical records Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and visual acuity to support diagnosis and treatment planning Prepare patients for eye examinations by performing preliminary tests and explaining procedures clearly Assist with clinical tasks including aseptic technique during eye procedures and maintaining a sterile environment Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) using Eyefinity EPM or document patient interactions accurately Support optical services by assisting with frame selection, lens measurements, and retail sales activities Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Qualifications Prior experience in medical office settings, optometry/ophthalmology clinics, or retail sales is highly desirable Understanding of HIPAA regulations and aseptic technique to maintain a safe clinical environment Excellent communication skills for effective patient care and front desk interactions Ability to perform and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently Basic retail math skills for sales transactions and inventory management related to optical products Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication makes a real difference in people's lives. Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
