Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Optician Technician to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will support the optical department by assisting with patient care, lens fitting, and frame adjustments. You will play a vital part in ensuring smooth clinic operations while providing exceptional service to patients of all ages. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake, including taking vital signs and updating medical records Prepare patients for eye exams by measuring visual acuity and collecting medical histories Support the dispensing of eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring proper fit and comfort Maintain cleanliness and aseptic technique during laboratory procedures and frame adjustments Manage optical inventory, including retail sales, retail math calculations, and stock organization Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Crystal Practice Management to document patient information accurately Collaborate with ophthalmologists and optometrists on co-management plans for various eye conditions Skills Knowledge of ophthalmology practices and medical terminology related to eye health Laboratory experience in lens fabrication or adjustments preferred Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical coding related to eye care Experience with EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms Ability to perform vital signs assessment and basic clinical procedures Retail management skills including retail sales techniques and retail math proficiency Excellent communication skills for working with pediatric patients, senior care populations, and diverse teams Basic knowledge of optical experience, including frame fitting and lens selection Competency in medical billing procedures related to ophthalmic services Join us to make a difference in patients' lives through precise optical care while advancing your career in a dynamic healthcare environment!

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
