In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily clinic operations, ensure exceptional patient care, and manage a team of licensed optometrists and support staff. Your leadership will drive the delivery of comprehensive eye care, foster a welcoming environment, and uphold the highest standards of medical and retail excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend clinical expertise with retail management, ensuring both patient satisfaction and business growth. Responsibilities Lead the daily operations of the optometry clinic, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to maximize efficiency and service quality Supervise licensed optometrists and support personnel, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and ongoing training in areas such as ophthalmology, medical terminology, and laboratory procedures Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or similar platforms Oversee patient assessments including vital signs, physiology evaluations, and comprehensive eye examinations with a focus on pediatrics and senior care populations Manage optical inventory, laboratory processes, and medical billing to optimize revenue streams while maintaining aseptic techniques and laboratory standards Facilitate retail sales by promoting optical products, managing retail math calculations, and providing excellent customer service to enhance patient experience and store profitability Implement policies for medical coding accuracy related to ophthalmology services and ensure adherence to safety protocols including HIPAA privacy standards Experience Proven experience in clinic management within an optometry or ophthalmology setting, demonstrating strong leadership skills in a healthcare environment Extensive knowledge of anatomy related to the eye, physiology principles, medical terminology, and laboratory techniques relevant to eye care services Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or other electronic health record platforms for managing medical records efficiently Hands-on experience with optical retail sales, inventory management, retail math calculations, and customer service excellence Background in pediatric eye care and senior care services is highly desirable Strong understanding of medical billing practices, coding procedures specific to ophthalmology services, and HIPAA compliance requirements Ability to oversee clinical procedures including aseptic techniques and laboratory testing while maintaining high standards of safety and quality Join us as an Optometry Manager where your expertise will inspire team excellence while delivering outstanding eye care solutions.
