Our office is a full-scope Optometry practice with an emphasis in pediatrics and vision therapy. The individual seeking this position must be dependable, personable, compassionate, teachable, self-motivated, and a team-player. Previous experience as an Optometric Technician is favorable, but not required. Responsibilities Preliminary testing for the doctor Light documentation for the doctor Perform special testing (visual field, OCT, right eye, etc) Contact Lens Insertion & Removal training Help maintain efficient patient flow Provide frame selection and sales in optical Assist in scheduling patients Exceed patient expectations with regards to customer service All other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Must enjoy working with children; experience/knowledge with ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorders is helpful but not required Must be teachable with the ability and eagerness to learn Self-motivated and detail-oriented Strong communication skills A positive and engaging personality Experience in Optometry / Ophthalmology preferred but not required Experience with EMR systems and optical sales preferred but not required We are fun yet professional, and we love to give recognition to our talented staff for a job well done.
